Digital working" is a building block in the digitization strategy of many companies. The focus here is on networking and simplification. Be it simple and digital collaboration in project-based teams or easy access to information and documents from anywhere - everything is possible decentrally and digitally.
In this regard, not all companies have yet tapped into the potential of digital working - especially since there are new options every day. The basis for this is a future-oriented digitization strategy, the right cloud-based software solutions and an ambitious vision.
For the successful implementation of a strategy for digital working, employees must be taken along on the journey. That's why we advise you on everything from workplace strategy and the operational introduction of tools to communication with employees. In this way, you can seize the great opportunities of the time, such as the creation of teams of globally distributed experts.
Moving away from static intranets and knowledge repositories on server structures to an interactive, lively and collaborative platform ecosystem that empowers employees to act efficiently, easily and innovatively.
Agility is another building block for responding quickly to the current challenges of a rapidly changing environment. Here it is important not to put an 08/15 solution over the workspace, but to implement individual solutions that maximize the benefits of different methodologies.
Every company and every industry has its own specific challenges. Here, choosing the right collaboration platform is just as crucial as a smooth rollout for transformation success.
As a specialist provider of digital solutions, Microsoft offers a whole range of possibilities and options. We will be happy to show you to what extent which solution creates added value in your company and how everything can be integrated into the system landscape.
The new collaboration platform
Allianz Trade had an intranet that was an isolated solution and did not allow integration with modern workplace tools. This static intranet was used to provide information for central functions and communication with the workforce.
Purple Bird Technology was commissioned with the project management for the replacement of the existing platform with SharePoint.
There were four project priorities:
- Agile working
- Stakeholder management
- Change management
The Solution I
Due to the size of the intranet, several hundred employees had to contribute their expertise to the move, as only they had the expertise for the content. With agile working methods and our expertise in managing globally distributed, virtual teams, we were able to successfully bring all the threads together. This allowed us to address the needs of employees in the project context and move the project forward effectively.
The Solution II
Due to the large number of stakeholders and the high visibility of the project within the company, a clever balance of interests was one of the keys to success. Our consultants mastered challenges that typically arise in such projects.
Lack of resources of certain stakeholder groups
Different needs regarding the functions of the intranet
Different affinities in dealing with digital solutions
By addressing stakeholders in the right way, we succeeded in attracting their respective strengths to the project.
The Solution III & IV
Change Management & Communication
In addition to the organizational and technical management of the project, our team supported the planning and implementation of the change management measures. This included, in particular, the provision of training courses, learning materials and a major launch campaign to inspire employees.
Despite a difficult initial situation, the project was completed on time and on budget. In addition, there was significant user acceptance, a strong cost reduction in licensing costs, and overall employee satisfaction due to the new capabilities of the collaboration platform.
