Initial situation

The customer had an old intranet, which, in addition to clearly identifiable content, had many areas that had grown historically. It was a static intranet (communication one-to-many). The client wanted to move to a new intranet that would be collaborative, interactive and modern. In order to make better use of the potential offered by the new technology and to drive forward digitization in the company in general, comprehensive change measures should support the transformation.

Solution approach

Purple Bird Technolgy provided a significant part of the core teams and organized the entire company changeover together with the customer:

  • Identification of all relevant content and stakeholders
  • Editorial and technical planning of the new intranet
  • Management of the implementation by editors
  • Quality assurance and organization of the editor network
  • Support of the technical implementation
  • Planning and implementation of communication and training measures
  • Coordination with the works council


The project was completed on time and on budget despite the difficult initial situation. In addition, the intranet has been well received by users and considerable costs have been saved compared to operating the old intranet.
